Marianne Eldridge, LCSW-C

Marianne Eldridge, LCSW-C, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience providing mental health counseling and clinical care to children, teens, adults, and families in Frederick, Maryland. She is passionate about helping clients navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, family challenges, and major life transitions with greater resilience, self-compassion, and confidence.

Marianne specializes in working with anxiety, developmental trauma, grief and loss, family crises, adjustment to change, and emotional challenges across the lifespan. She has extensive experience supporting children and families and spent much of her career working within the public school system, giving her a unique understanding of the emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs of children, adolescents, and their families.

Marianne’s Approach to Therapy

Her approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and individualized, drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and grief-focused interventions. Marianne is also trained in neurofeedback, incorporating this approach when clinically appropriate as part of treatment.

As a certified yoga and meditation instructor, Marianne brings a holistic, mind-body perspective to her work. She believes emotional well-being involves more than simply addressing symptoms and helps clients develop greater awareness of the connection between their thoughts, emotions, bodies, and behaviors.

Marianne’s personal experiences have also shaped her understanding of resilience, family dynamics, and life transitions. As the spouse of a retired military member and a mother of four, she understands firsthand that family life can bring both meaningful connection and significant challenges.

Marianne believes that people have the capacity to grow and adapt even during difficult seasons. Her goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can better understand themselves, develop practical coping skills, reconnect with their strengths, and feel more confident moving forward.

Marianne provides individual therapy for children, teens, and adults, as well as family therapy, at By Your Side Counseling Services in Frederick, Maryland.
