Riggins is a Belgian Malinois/ Great Pyrenees rescue who traveled around the United States between two different rescues and one foster home before finding his forever home in Maryland. Riggins is now is a registered therapy dog, an AKC Canine Good Citizen and AKC Trick Dog. Riggins is furthering his training to learn new skills and to become an AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen.
Riggins loves going for walks, swimming, belly scratches, cuddling, playing with his toys, saying hello to all animals, and eating treats. Riggins joins By Your Side Counseling Services with his therapist handler Ashley Saltzman to provide support and comfort for clients. Ashley utilizes the KADRA Model to incorporate Riggins into treatment to improve clinical outcomes. Learn more about the benefits of Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) on our “Services” page!
