Brittany Tackett, LCPC, NCC
Brittany Tackett, LCPC, NCC, is a licensed mental health therapist with more than 9 years of experience in the mental health field. She provides therapy for children, adolescents, teens, adults, and families in Frederick, Maryland, with a particular interest in helping clients navigate trauma, relationships, self-esteem, boundaries, and life challenges.
Brittany believes that a strong, trusting relationship between therapist and client is the foundation of meaningful therapy. She works to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves, exploring difficult experiences, and working toward meaningful change.
Brittany particularly enjoys working with clients who want to strengthen their relationship with themselves and others. She helps clients develop healthier boundaries, advocate for their needs, build self-confidence, and recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping clients feel empowered in their own lives.
Trauma & EMDR Therapy
Brittany is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach used to help individuals process traumatic and distressing experiences. EMDR may be helpful for clients experiencing trauma, PTSD symptoms, difficult memories, anxiety, or emotional responses connected to past experiences.
Brittany’s trauma-informed approach emphasizes safety, trust, and meeting each client where they are. She works collaboratively with clients to develop the skills and sense of safety needed to move through the therapeutic process at a manageable pace.
